Hello Stranger ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and how we use it, in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number and message.
- Reservation form: your name, email, phone, party size, date, time and any dietary notes.
- Server logs: your IP address, browser type and pages visited, kept for security and troubleshooting.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers on this site at this time.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry or confirm your reservation.
- To manage bookings, catering orders and customer service.
- To keep our site secure and functioning.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except service providers strictly needed to operate the site (for example our web host or email provider), or where required by law.
How long we keep it
Reservation and enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted unless we are required to retain them by law.
Your rights

Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online transmission is 100% secure — please do not send sensitive information such as payment card details through our forms.
